Wisconsin Swing 2025 Leadership and Coaches

Dana MacKenzie—Swing Owner:

Dana founded Wisconsin Swing 21 years ago, and built the program into one of the top programs in the Midwest year in and year out. Dana is the former coach at Waunakee High School, where he lead the Warriors to 12 conference championships, 3 state tournament appearances and 300+ wins. 

Matt Bredesen—Boys’ Basketball Director and 17u and 15u Recruitlook/National Team Coach:

Matt joined Wisconsin Swing in the spring of 2011 as a coach. In 2016 he became assistant High School Director. In 2021 he became the Boys’ High School Director, and in 2024 he has become the youth director as well. Matt is currently the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach at Janesville Parker. At Parker he set the school record for wins in a season in 2020-21, has lead the team to their highest finishes in the Big 8 in 40 years in 2021-22 and 2022-23. Coach Bredesen lead his 2022 17u Swing team to a 53-8 record, NY2LA Association runner-up finish, and Bigfoot Las Vegas Classic Championship. Coach Bredesen's 16u team went 6-0 at the Recruitlook Elite 32 in Atlanta in the summer of 2025, and his 17's made the Recruitlook Circuit Final 4 in 2025. Matt will be coaching Wisconsin Swing’s top 17u and 15u National teams in 2026.

Scott Noll--17u National Coach:

Scott has been involved with the Swing program for many years, coaching youth teams, then taking a couple years off, before returning to coach Swing's 17u 2nd National team for 2026. Scott has been a varsity coach at Belleville and Pecatonica, and a varsity assistant at Verona. Scott has years of basketball coaching experience and will bring that to his Swing team this spring.

Jeff Meinholdt-17u National:

Jeff will be coaching the 17u 2nd National team with Scott Noll. Jeff has coached the McFarland varsity for 20 years. Jeff brings a pleothora of Varsity coaching experience to Wisconsin Swing. We are excited to have him join the program as part of our coaching staff

Kenny Bosch—17u National Coach:

Kenny has coached Wisconsin Swing for 8 seasons. He coached a Swing team from the Milwaukee area for 7 years, this season he will coach a mix of Milwaukee and Madison athletes on our second 16u National Team. Kenny has served as Head Coach at West Allis Hale High School, and an assistant coach at Muskego and New Berlin Eisenhauer.  

Alex Easterday—16u Recruitlook/National Team Coach:

Alex is entering his 3rd year coaching Wisconsin Swing. Alex played Wisconsin Swing in 2015 and 2016 for Coach Bredesen. Alex played at Elkhorn, where he is Elkhorn’s all time leading scorer. Alex then went on to play 2 seasons at Madison College. After Madison College, Alex returned to Elkhorn where he was an assistant coach in the program he grew up in. Alex has since relocated to Madison area, and joined the Swing coaching staff. Alex's 15u Swing team won 25 games in the Spring/Summer of 2025 and were in the Elite 8 at NY2LA, Alex looks forward to coaching his Swing team on the Recruitlook Circuit in 2026. Alex will coach our 16u Recruitlook Circuit team in the Spring/Summer of 2026.

Ryan Benish—16u National Team Coach:

Ryan is a longtime assistant coach at Lake Mills High School. Ryan also previously coached at Watertown. Ryan played at Minnesota State-Mankato. Ryan joined the Swing coaching staff in 2024, where he coached the top 16u National Team with Matt Bredesen, he also coached with Coach Bredesen the 17u top National Team in 2025. In 2026 Coach Benish will Coach 16u National Team. We are very excited to continue to have Ryan as part of the Swing program!

Kyle Koker—15u National Team Coach:

Kyle is an Assistant Coach at Janesville Parker High School. He joined the Swing staff in 2024, coaching 16u and 15u Regional teams. Coach Koker also coached our top 13u Swing Fall AAU team. Kyle played at Janesville Parker and UW-Rock County. He has been active in the youth basketball program in Janesville, prior to joining the High School staff. In 2026 Kyle will coach our 2nd 15u National team.

Tim Dworak--14u:

Tim has coached Swing for the past several years at the youth level. Tim is a Varsity assistant at Sun Prairie East High School. Tim played college basketball at UW-Oshkosh and previously coached at Columbus as well. Tim brings a great deal of playing and coaching experience to Wisconsin Swing. Tim will be coaching our top 14u team for the spring/summer of 2026.

Ryne Franz--14u:

Ryne is an assistant coach at DeForest High School. Ryne joined Swing in the spring/summer of 2024 as a 13u coach, he will move up to 14u this season, and will coach our second 14u team in the Spring/Summer of 2026. We are excited to have Ryne Continue to be part of the Wisconsin Swing Program.

Jared Flesch--12u:

Jared returns to Wisconsin Swing to coach for his third season of coaching. Jared is involved in coaching the Waunakee Youth Programs. Jared is also a well known varsity basketball offical in the Madison area, as well as officiating Division 1 college football. Jared will be coaching our top 12u team in the Spring/Summer of 2026.

Seth Herro--12u:

Seth joined the Swing program in the Spring/Summer of 2025. Seth coaches in the Monona Grove youth program. He has coached AAU in the Fox Valley and Milwaukee in past seasons. Seth will be coaching our second 12u team in the Spring/Summer of 2026. We are excited to have Seth Continuing to Coach in Wisconsin Swing.
