Dana MacKenzie—Swing Owner:

Dana founded Wisconsin Swing 22 years ago, and built the program into one of the top programs in the Midwest year in and year out. Dana is the former coach at Waunakee High School, where he lead the Warriors to 12 conference championships, 3 state tournament appearances and 300+ wins. 

Matt Bredesen—Boys’ Basketball Director and 17u and 15u Top Recruitlook Circuit Team Coach:

Matt Bredesen joined Wisconsin Swing as a Coach in 2011, he has coached 15u-17u Swing Circuit teams for the past 17 years, helping hundreds of players develop, get exposure, and achieve their goal of playing at the next level. In 2015 Coach Bredesen became assistant High School Director, in 2021 Coach Bredesen became the High School Director, and in 2024 Coach Bredesen became the Program Director of Wisconsin Swing. Coach Bredesen's teams have had great success playing on Recruitlook, NY2LA, and in high level events. His 2022 17u team went 53-8 on the season, and won the Bigfoot Las Vegas Classic. Coach Bredesen's 2026 17u is currently 27-6 and ranked #3rd on Recruitlook Circuit in 2026. Since 2021, Coach Bredesen has a record of 410-144 coaching various teams. He has worked with and helped develop 4 NCAA Division 1 Players during that time, who earned scholarship offers to the highest level.

Beyond Swing, Coach Bredesen is a teacher and Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Janesville Parker High School. He has been Varsity Coach at Parker for 9 years, during which his 2020-21 team set the school record for wins in a season with 19. Coach Bredesen lead his 2020-21 team to Sectionals for the first time in 20 years, and back to regional finals in 2021-22. Coach Bredesen has Coached High School Basketball for 24 years, with 12 years as a Head Varsity Coach. Coach Bredesen has over 100 career Varsity Wins.
