OFFENSIVE DEVELOPMENT CAMP

This 4 day camp is designed to improve a player’s ability to shoot, create space, relieve pressure, finish near the basket, use screens and make decisions/reads. Each two hour session will focus on improving these skills and applying them to competitive small sided games – 2V2 and 3v3. Constraints applied to these games will expedite the application of the skills focused on for that week. There will not be 5 on 5 games. Games will be smaller and faster to allow more opportunities and repetitions for each player. The modern game requires all 5 players on the court to be able to shoot the ball and score, allowing for appropriate spacing and pressure on the defense. These skills will be transferable to games regardless of the team or system you play in.
Day 1 = shooting and finishing – develop your footwork and flow, off the catch and off the bounce. Learn how and when to finish off 2 feet and one foot.
Day 2 = more finishing, attacking and relieving pressure off the dribble - 3v3 with close outs and spacing with reading defenses for offensive advantage
Day 3 = using off ball actions (screens, cuts, spacing)to score - 3v3 and 2v2 with constraints / advantages for spacing and gaps
Day 4 = using ball screen actions (PNR, DHO, ghosts, gets) to score - 3v3 and 2v2 with constraints / advantages for spacing and gaps
